Job Summary:  The IT Coordinator serves as a liaison between ARAMARK/Bama Dining and the University of Alabama. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing basic analysis of functional or business systems; maintaining and supporting multiple networks; and, providing general information technology guidance for management staff.


Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and support of multiple networks, PC’s, Laptops, POS System, and external credit card readers
  • Responsible for the maintenance of website and deployment of digital signage cameras at campus dining locations
  • Work with the University of Alabama’s  ACTion Card office and the Department of Information Technology to resolve problems, coordinate any new concepts, and attend technology meetings with campus officials
  • Maintain tablets’ software
  • Provide support for the Inventory Clerk by setting up and maintaining PRIMA software
  • Responsible for programming, synching and troubleshooting smart phones
  • Communicate with managers, employees, customers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints
  • Maintain a log of computers and coordinate issuing and replacement
  • Work with tech vendors such as: CBORD for Webfood maintenance
  • Load and key promotional coding into POS system
  • Coordinate share drive access between client (UA) and end user
  • Maintain a professional image at all times
  • Report all injuries immediately to your manger and or supervisor


Additional Job Functions:

  • Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the ARAMARK management team.


  • Prior administrative experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of web application, hosting technologies and web administration. 
  • Provide support and guidance on computer settings, security and privacy, maintenace and performance, networking, files/folders, software, hardware and peripherals, and customization of computers.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 25 lbs.
