    Description

    Position Summary: This employee isresponsible for the repairs to paint, fiberglass, gelcoat, and plastic on boathulls and other structures. Insure safety, environmental and presentationstandards are met. 

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Make repairs to paint, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastic on boat hulls and other structures
    • Operate  all hand tools required in preforming these repairs
    • Mix resin with catalyst for temperature ranges, proper lay up for optimum strength, repair, match gelcoat and paint.
    • Read work orders and apply knowledge and experience with materials in order to determine types and amounts of materials required. Track time and material to work orders.
    • Ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner
    • Help ensure and promote a safe work environment. Identify safety issues and take steps to correct them
    • inventory order request to ensure proper materials and quantities are on hand for scheduled projects and regular needs 
    • Other duties as assigned by management
    • Must be flexible - willing to work a varied schedule.

    Qualifications

    • Previous maintenance experience preferred
    • Basic Mathematical knowledge and Computer skills are required.
    • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
    • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
    • Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
    • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    • Two years minimum experience in full service paint fiberglass and body work
