    Position Summary:
    The Payroll Clerk must be able to work independently and coordinate with all managers and staff.  Reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail are necessary, as is the ability to quickly learn a hotel system and other software systems.  Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Manage all reporting for environmental and sustainability, follow up on all purchase orders and reconcile received goods with Purchasing Supervisor.  Work closely with HR Manager, Accounting Manager and General Manager on all day to day functions.
    Essential Functions:

    • Compile environmental data from all outlets utilizing Microsoft Excel, data base, and various point of sales software programs.   
    • Compile notes from all meetings and send out to the team.
    • Work closely with Purchasing Supervisor in all components to coordinate deliveries and reconcile purchase orders.
    • Assist HR, Accounting and GM with day to day functions.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
    • Report to work on time and in complete uniform

    • Oversees employee movement and keeps HCMS and Kronos up to date and accurate

    • Assists in the implementation of internal Payroll processes and procedures within Aramark guidelines.

    • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

    • Performs a wide variety of tasks related to employee/payroll records.

    • Prepare, process, and maintain Payroll Standards and Compliance in executing tasks to accurately pay assigned employees and stay current with Aramark payroll and payroll-related systems.

    • Collect, file and safeguard all payroll related documentation

    • Prepare labor reports in a complete, accurate and timely manner

    • Process all other hourly and manager payroll-related changes in accordance with Aramark policy and procedures

    • Track the compliance to wage and hour measures; report to management areas that need follow up

    • Process other-pay and deductions with proper support (i.e., commissions, gratuities)

    • Transmit the bi-weekly Payroll file in a timely manner; ensuring the location payroll being processed according to the schedule

    • Process EDD information requests

    • Prepare various reports as assigned

    • Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.

    • Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.

    • Audit payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.

    • Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts (union and non-union).

    • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).

    • Complete other duties as assigned

    • May be required to work nights, weekends or as business of component dictates.



    Prior experience and understanding of  Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word and Excel.
