Description

Position Summary: Cashiers assist in the daily operations of the Restaurant. This position requires employees to run a register and handle cash on a daily basis. Cashier workers are knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding area and have good customer service skills. This position requires that individuals are attentive, and pay attention to detail. Knowledge of retail and cash handling is needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the work area at all times; dispose of trash and clean all areas
  • Maintain daily side work and ensure any required logs are completed in a timely manner; also complete any restocking and cleaning duties
  • Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
  • Diplomatically handle guest and associate complaints always polite and maintaining a professional manner
  • May be required to train other employees on the role
  • May be cross trained to work in other areas
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
  • Develop a strong knowledge of all products offered
  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must assume responsibility for cash
  • Cash handling, simple math and operating a register
  • Operate computerized cash register, issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to guests
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping for cash transactions, vouchers, and charges
  • Know the goods and services offered on location
  • Calculate bills with a cash register and a calculator
  • Assist with stocking of condiments, utensils and supplies
  • Host, clear, or set tables when needed
  • Knowledge of the restaurant and the items that are sold

Status and Scope: Position requires the ability to multi-task, a strong customer service focus, strong communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude. Position Reports to Dining Room Manager

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written; able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Previous Customer Service experience required
  • Must have good oral communication skills
  • Must know basic math
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Utilize problem solving skills
  • Read, write, and speak English clearly
  • Carry up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to work both as a team member and independently
  • Should be able to work all department shifts
  • Good customer service skills and a pleasant manner
  • Good organizational skills
  • 6 months of cash handling experience in a high volume restaurant required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written – able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills are required – must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred
  • Should be able to work all department shifts
  • Basic understanding of cash handling
  • Good customer service skills and a pleasant manner
  • Good organizational skills
